Playing around with nifty little kitchen gadgets and boiling up a storm has now become one of my favorite weekend routines. So, here is a collection of kitchen gadgets that are a must-have on my kitchen wish list and that really deserve a spot on yours too!
Ordine by Adriano Design is an innovative cooking solution for the modern user. The design optimized for small rooms makes a bulky conventional oven superfluous and paves the way for more cupboard and counter space. The design consists of two hobs that are mounted on a central hub on the wall. Taken neatly out of the way, the user simply has to take one or both hobs off the wall and set the desired temperature to activate them.
In the shape of a stainless steel handbag, Jacqueline is an electric tea kettle with Bluetooth connectivity that allows users to monitor and set the perfect heating conditions for boiling water. Unlike typical electric tea kettles that only require a small push of a button, Jacqueline is built with smart technology to assure users that a tasty, hot cup of tea is always moments away. Jacqueline does without the light switch in order to get an intelligent handle. It has an interactive digital screen that shows the water temperature and level of each brew, as well as a signal that shows whether or not the kettle is on. In addition to this screen, Bugatti offers that Jacqueline can be paired with your smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth so that users can operate Jacqueline remotely via Bugatti’s accompanying app Bugatti B Chef.
The cheat sheets from Chris Place & Will Matters from Prepd are basically, and this reference couldn’t be more relevant, socially distant containers for your ingredients. They use the same baking sheet, but the silicone containers on the cheat sheets are on the tray and provide you with miniature compartments for cooking your food. Vegetables like asparagus, which require shorter cooking times, can be placed in the same tray as salmon, which will take more time in the oven. When you feel like the asparagus is ready, simply reach in with your baking glove, just pull the asparagus container out of the oven and let the salmon cook in it. It’s easy, and best of all, your baking sheet never gets dirty!
Chopbox is a smart cutting board with so many unique features, but the most relevant in these “unprecedented times” is the fact that it can actually kill germs on your cooking tools and space! Get rid of clutter and extra kitchen accessories with this much-needed upgrade. Thanks to Chopbox’s built-in disinfection UVC light, you can easily disinfect your knives and cutting surfaces and hug your inner quarantine cook with aseptic cooking – see, I told you this board is lit and literally! We clean our knives, but do we ever think of the germs in knife blocks or the crevices of our cutting boards? With Chopbox all you have to do is place your knife between the two cutting surfaces and activate the small but powerful 254 nm UVC light, which can be used to disinfect up to 3 knives and both cutting surfaces at the same time.
The kitchen cube was developed as a point of contact for all cooking measurements and integrates all measuring vessels in its unique, yellow, cube-shaped body. With over 19 units of measure in a 6-sided shape, the Kitchen Cube can be used to measure everything from teaspoons and tablespoons to even cups, working with both wet and dry ingredients. The cube comes with both metric and US units of measurement shaped into its unique design. So you can even measure your ingredients in milliliters if the recipe calls for it.
The Infinite Line Dual Cook is designed to be better integrated into the furniture while providing an exceptional user experience. The designers believed in the need to find new avenues of innovation that focused not only on technology but also on culture and behavioral changes in society, echoing the views of JaeSeung Lee (President and Head of Samsung Electronics’ Digital Appliances Division ), who said: “Consumers, especially millennials, are spending more time at home demanding products that enrich their everyday lives with customized functions. Good and reliable performance is now a prerequisite. The standard for a better, smarter home experience is now being determined by how tightly devices can be tailored to different customer lifestyles. “Here the shape can improve the functionality of the technology.
The Egguins by Peleg Design are made of heat-resistant and food-safe plastic and are an innovative way to store, cook or serve eggs. The hollow penguin shape allows you to slide eggs (both small and large) in, visually completing them and making them look like a herd of emperor penguins ready to run straight into the water – the visual metaphor for connecting the Egg, the bird, and the water is just perfect! The even placement of the eggs also ensures they are cooked evenly, perfect for any new cook. Who always said cooking couldn’t be fun.
It sounds like a bizarre question, but to be honest, it all lies in the physics of knife work. If you need your wrists to do work, a heavy-grip knife is best. When you need a knife blade to do the job for you, a heavier blade will allow better cutting. Instead of having different knives for different uses, the Ecriture Perfect Knives have a switch on the handle that allows you to move the center of the knife gravity. A sliding weight in the hollow handle allows you to determine the balance point of the knife, giving you better control based on your technique. The Ecriture Perfect Knives come in a set of 6 exquisitely designed blades for a variety of tasks. From chopping to filleting, julienning and cutting, there is a blade for every occasion and a patented weight switching mechanism for every individual in every handle.
The genius of the Visual Measuring Cups is that they not only offer a fixed standard measurement, but are also optically indicative. The cups were designed by Pam Daniels to look like the factions they represented. They make the measurements easier to understand. The quarter cup is quadrant-shaped, the half cup is semicircular. This sensitivity makes it quicker to measure multiple ingredients without worrying about whether your measurements are accurate because you know exactly that they are! The Visual Measuring Cups convert text references into visual references and help us better understand the measurements. While most measuring cups and cups use indicative lines to tell you how much a half cup is, the visual measuring cup will show you how much a half cup is and give you a faster and better understanding of the part metrics.
The Nestofen tins feature a simple innovation that solves a well-known problem – removing hot ovenware with thick and clumsy oven gloves. A specially designed lip on the front of the tray makes it easy to pull the tray out of the oven. The wide handles on the side allow you to hold the tray as soon as it comes out of the oven. So you know that you don’t risk fiddling with your tray of food, much like Kevin did with his famous chili. And here’s the best: As with all products in the Joseph Joseph Nest ™ line, the oven boxes nest inside each other for easy storage!
